Experience Northern Italy from a home base in Bressanone, in the heart of the South Tyrolean Alps.

The program is designed for participants with varied academic, professional, and cultural interests who would like to experience the Festival within a broader international setting.

Participants experience the region firsthand through the Orfeo Music Festival, museums and cultural institutions, visits to businesses and organizations, and excursions (such as Verona, Venice, Italy, and Salzburg, Austria).

Program Tuition

Program Fee: $3,750

Shared room and board are included.
Airfare and personal expenses are not included.

Early Payment Program Fee: $3,650

for participants who complete payment in full by January 15, 2027.

Registration & Payment Schedule

January 1, 2027
$2,500 deposit due to reserve your place.

January 15, 2027
Deadline to complete payment at the Early Payment Program Fee rate of $3,650.

February 1, 2027
Final tuition balance due.

Registration after January 1 may be considered subject to program capacity.

University Students

University students may participate independently or in connection with coursework or faculty-led study abroad opportunities offered through their home institutions.

Academic credit, course registration, scholarships, financial aid, eligibility requirements, and university application procedures are determined by each participating institution. Students should contact their university's Study Abroad Office for current information and requirements.

Access

Bressanone/Brixen is a historic alpine city in Northern Italy, located in the South Tyrol region and easily accessible by train from major transportation hubs. Please visit the Your Visit page on the Orfeo Music Festival website for detailed travel and arrival information.


Age Limit

There is no minimum or maximum age limit for the Orfeo Personal Development Program.


Languages

People in Bressanone speak both German and Italian while many festival participants speak English.  Activities and classes are usually conducted in English.
