A rising star tenor David Posulikhin is mentored by Dmitry Vdovin, Director of the Bolshoi Opera Young Artists Studio. He is currently finishing studies at the The Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS) where he already performed Vasek in Smetana’s Bartered Bride, Beppo in Donizetti’s Rita, and Nikolai Figarenko in Tariverdiev’s opera The Marriage of Figarenko. Posulikhin’s repertoire includes
operatic roles like Lensky in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, and Nemorino in Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’Amore performed at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, chamber compositions of Purcell, Vivaldi, Monteverdi, Handel which Posulikhin performed with the Moscow Philharmonic, as well as Italian and Russian lieder. David Posulikhin has won numerous most prestigious youth musical competitions, including Grand Prix at The Firebird 2012 (Ivanovo), 2013 first place in the Moscow Open Festival “Silver Voice”, second place in Vocalists 2013 of the London Gates Education Group, first prize in 2014 Lidia Abramova XX Anniversary International Voice Student Competition «Bella
voce», second prize in the 2015 Fourteenth Youth Delphic Games of Russia, second prize at the 2015 A. Ivanov IX International Vocal Competition in Tver. David Posulikhin graduated in 2009 from Kabalevsky Music School in Orel under the tutelage of Galina Kotko.
